  1. Vicky shelley says:

I have had 2 ablations and both were unsuccessful. Now heart specialist is suggesting pacemaker. If one tikosin every 12 hours does not help double the dosage. Ok double the metoprolol. Oh no your pulse rate is too low now.

All since diagnosis has been downhill. I am thinking that since I now feel worse than ever perhaps the procedures, the medications should be stopped.

    I need help please.

    • Vicky,

Is there any chance you could have sleep apnea? Does the doctor have any idea why the ablations didn’t work? Are you in afib all the time, or do you go in and out?

I wonder if you should see a different doctor for a second opinion. Are you working with an electrophysiologist (cardiologist that specializes in heart rhythms)?
